Artist – VANISHING LIFE
Date – Saturday October 18th
Time – 6:00 pm
Event – Performance and Autograph Signing.
VANISHING LIFE will be here at Looney Tunes to celebrate the release of their new 45 for the upcoming 2015 full release. Vanishing Life’s ranks include Walter Schreifels (Quicksand, Gorilla Biscuits), Zach Blair (Rise Against), Jamie Miller (...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead), and Autry Fulbright (…And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, Midnight Masses). But the names never supersede the feeling, and once the immediate familiarity begins to fade, there are new depths to be plumbed: “People Running,” for one, is alternately English punk-strut and New York hardcore stomp, but not without Schreifels’ trademark melodic underpin, while the band’s namesake track emits the kind of frantic energy that thrives in a kinetic live space—driving, jolting, equal parts tension and release. In a rare feat, these songs are both real and realized.

VANISHING LIFE “People Running / Vanishing Life”
A: People Running
B: Vanishing Life
Anyone who can claim to have literally grown up with punk and hardcore will tell you that—despite the ebbs and flows and diversions that life throws our way—you can always come home, and if that’s the case, the debut single from Vanishing Life is one particularly unsparing homecoming.
For sure, the raw and concise execution of these two songs resonates with sheer experience:
Vanishing Life are currently finishing work on their first full-length album—set for release on Collect Records in 2015.
